LCEM Ltd is introducing
a “special purpose acquisitions company” (SPAC) called Property investment Fund to help our company invest further.
LCEM Ltd is hoping to raise N2 Billion, using our successes in the real estate market to encourage new investors.
The SPAC will eventually trade under the ticker symbol “LCEM Ltd” on the Nigeria Stock Exchange. LCEM Ltd will sell 20 million units at N1000 each and return money to investors if it doesn’t acquire properties for development and go public within 24 months. Among the targets: Land, Properties, and Shopping Centres within Ikoyi, Victoria Island, and Lekki environs.
SPACs are formed to raise capital to acquire existing companies. The funds are placed in a two-year escrow account, and once a deal is identified, it’s presented to investors. Investors can exit if they don’t approve a proposal. But if a deal gets done, investors can also obtain options to buy shares of the new investment properties purchased at some future date.
